The Tennessee hemp industry just scored a major win. The Tennessee Alcoholic Beverage Commission (TABC) has agreed to delay enforcement of THCa product restrictions until July 2026. This gives businesses a crucial six-month extension beyond the original January deadline.
This victory builds directly on the legal injunction Hemp Law Group and the Tennessee Growers Coalition secured in December 2024, which prevented emergency rules from banning THCa products across the state.
What This Means For Your Hemp Business
The TABC’s decision means:
- Hemp licenses issued by the Tennessee Department of Agriculture (TDA) before December 31, 2025, will remain valid until the end of June 2026
- These businesses can continue operating under existing regulations
- THCa products can still be legally sold during this period
